How far in advance should I book my senior portrait session?

Accepted Answer

We recommend booking 3-4 months in advance, especially for summer and fall sessions which fill quickly. St. Augustine and Jacksonville senior portrait sessions for the Class of 2027 are already booking quickly with only a few dates remaining. Don't wait and risk missing out on your preferred date and location.

Where do you photograph senior portraits in St. Augustine and Jacksonville?

Melissa Reinhardt Photography shoots on location throughout Northeast Florida. Popular senior portrait locations include St. Augustine Beach, Vilano Beach, Jacksonville Beach, historic downtown St. Augustine near the Castillo de San Marcos, Ponte Vedra, and Nocatee. During your planning consultation we'll choose locations that match your personality and style.

What should I wear for my senior pictures?

Accepted Answer

We recommend 3-4 outfit changes that reflect your personality. Think about a mix of casual, dressy, and something that represents your interests or style. Avoid busy patterns and large logos.  Solid colors and simple textures photograph beautifully. During your planning consultation Melissa will give you personalized wardrobe guidance based on your chosen locations and the look you want to achieve.

How long does a senior portrait session take?

Accepted Answer

Most senior portrait sessions run 1-2 hours depending on the number of outfit changes and locations. We never rush - the goal is a relaxed, enjoyable experience where you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.

What is the investment for senior portraits?

Accepted Answer

The session fee is $425 (due at booking) and includes your planning consultation, 2.5 hour portrait session, in-home reveal appointment, and personal hand delivery of your order. Prints, products, and digital files are purchased separately with no minimum order - you only purchase what you love. Do you offer hair and makeup for senior sessions?

Professional hair and makeup is strongly recommended for your senior session. With Northeast Florida's heat and humidity, having your hair and makeup professionally done makes a significant difference in how you look and feel throughout your session, and in your final images.
While I don't book the appointments directly, I have several trusted hair and makeup artists in the St. Augustine and Jacksonville area that I refer my clients to. Just ask during your planning consultation and I'll connect you with the right person for your style and budget!

What happens if it rains on my session day?

No worries!  We'll reschedule at no charge. Florida weather is unpredictable and we want your session day to be perfect. We'll monitor the forecast together and make the call with enough notice to adjust plans.

Yes! In addition to digital files, Melissa Reinhardt Photography offers professional print products including canvas wall art, framed prints, albums, and printed senior magazines. You'll have the opportunity to view and order products at your reveal and ordering appointment. All print products are professionally produced and will be treasured for years to come.

How long until I receive my photos?

The MRP experience doesn't end at the session. After your shoot and reveal appointment, I personally edit every image and designs any custom art products - wall art, albums, and more - before delivery. When your complete order is ready, I hand deliver it personally. This white-glove approach ensures every product meets our exacting standards and that you receive everything together, beautifully presented.
